Bathrooms by SHEcan2

The bathroom is a unique space in your home, regardless of how many you have. They can often times be that special place you get away to--for a variety of personal reasons--yet can also be, more often than not, shared by all members of your growing family.

Because of the very nature of that bathroom--a haven for moisture--there may come a time when you and your family decide an upgrade is needed. The reasons can be varied but you know that it is time to call a professional contractor because a remodel is the only solution.
There are many reasons for deciding to have your bathroom remodeled or even going so far as to have a new one added to your home.

The natural deterioration of plumbing fixtures, flooring, wall board, etc. become a potential health issue, due to mold and mildew; the insufficient lighting has never been what you had hoped for; there are now so many in your family, you just need another one; the current configuration makes if awkward to feel comfortable when you are there; or the bathtub, with an obvious view of wall cracks and stained fixtures, makes it anything but a place where Calgon can "take you away."

By having your existing bathroom remodeled--or another one built onto the house--will give you several benefits:

That relaxing personal space will be yours whenever you need it; the safety of your family members, in terms of possibly being exposed to years of mold and mildew build-up, will be ensured; your dream bathroom you've always wanted can be fully realized; the value of your home will go up significantly, should you someday have a need to sell your home; you will have a new bathroom that will be a show piece for those occasions when you are entertaining guests.

(Before & After)
This was the master bath portion of a multi-room remodel. The tub was replaced by a new walk-in shower enclosure, the old shower was replaced by a new cupboard, while two sinks were installed on both sides of the new shower. The entire room was done in stone and now looks very castle-like.

For this project, the basic floor plan remained intact but all the fixtures were replaced. A new shower with glass enclosure, new free standing tub, and twin vanities, sinks and mirrors. A new floor and paint scheme round this project out. Now this master bath has a more stylish look.

The master bath portion of this entire town-home remodel used a wall reconfiguration to give more shower space. The custom designed vanity is accentuated by a glass sink, and the shower (with sitting area) is custom designed in marble tile, which gives this room a luxurious feel.

Sometimes, a new bathroom is just a matter of ripping it all out and starting over. That's exactly what this homeowner wanted. She had a design in mind and the SHEcan2 Team made it happen. The homeowner provided marble tile with a bubble-look accent.

Our client needed a bit more space for their shower, so we removed an adjacent closet for the expansion. For this project, we also moved the toilet to the opposite wall, and then put in a new vanity, sink, and mirror. New flooring and new paint round out this guest bathroom.

The before and after shots do not do this project justice, because we created an octagonal space for the new soaking tub, which was part of one large dressing room. A custom designed vanity sink and separate dressing vanity, along with the tub, are all topped with soapstone - truly luxurious.

Our homeowner had a shower with an adjoining water closet that just didn't work, because it felt cramped. The solution: make one master bath out of the two. The result: new soaking tub, large window with a view, new shower enclosure, vanity, and toilet all in a relaxing space.
