Creative Projects

Terri Harris and the SHEcan2 Team can build anything you need--even a boat! Well, not quite a real boat, but this fun, creative project was for a Daycare Center.

Their playground had a "boat" for years that the children would play on during the time outside. Over the years, and through the natural process of deterioration, the boat was beginning to be a health and safety risk.

The first order of business was to draw up a set of design plans, using the existing structure as a template. then, reconstruct the original all the way to the ground, and then build the new boat with all new material. It ended up looking just like the original, but brand new--and much safer.

This second example was another creative project a client wanted. The idea was to build a separate, free-standing structure, that could serve as a yoga studio for this homeowner.

The building itself was partially pre-fabricated, the the SHEcan2 Team custom designed the new foundation to fit it exactly, and then put it all together. The final step was to embellish it with some custom designed touches, befitting a yoga studio. The result: a very happy client.

A local preschool had a playground "boat" structure that had weathered more storms than a real boat. So our job was to draw up plans, based on the existing structure, remove the old one, and then build a new boat. The final structure looked like the original - but brand new.

In addition to remodels, repairs and additions, sometimes we get called on to build a complete building. Such was the case here, for a client who needed a separate structure from the house to use as here yoga/art studio. This studio gave the client exactly what she wanted.

Over the years, we've built many patios for clients. This project called for a "catio" - an outdoor structure for about 25 plus cats. We started with the existing back porch, enclosed it in, added a roof, and enclosed the sides with chicken wire. The result: a safe place for the kitties.

On occasion, we have to perform repairs that are structural in nature. This house had sunk in the back, due to excessive settling over the years. Small hydraulic jacks were used to lift it back into position, and then braced with new supports. The result: no more sloping floors.
